It's easier to be a good diver if you can't swim

Just finished night diving in the Red Sea, a strange experience. The underwater world can only explore everything with the straight light of the diving lamp. At night, the underwater world is lively. Even corals become soft and dance in the light. See the most is the clown fish Nemo, do not know if they are looking for Dad. The most amazing thing is that when you turn off the diving light, countless firefly like luminescent bodies appear in front of you, giving you a kind of unfathomable sense of dream. Night diving is a special experience. It's not only about the exploration of undersea creatures, but also about the dark, dangerous and quiet taste, with some strange colors.

In the early winter of 2014, I met this beautiful place in the Mediterranean Sea of Egypt. I have seen the color of the Indian Ocean in Sri Lanka, experienced the loneliness of the Caspian Sea in Iran, experienced the ups and downs of the Dead Sea in Jordan, and thought that I would never be easily moved by the sea again. And this time, this beautiful Mediterranean is pounding my heart with an unprecedented kind of blue. Ice blue, lake blue, light blue and dark blue complement each other. It's better to dive to the bottom of the sea with your partner to make a romantic love journey than to run to the top of the mountain and shout "I love you" to the mountain.

For this grand scene of love, start learning to dive! I hope you understand the following novice diving problems, as soon as possible to travel in the sea.

Can you learn to dive if you can't swim

When it comes to diving, many people's first reaction is to be able to swim. On this issue, although the two kinds of sports take place in the water, they are not directly related. There are many people in this circle who can't swim but are proficient in diving.

In fact, in diving, the movement depends on the feet and neutral buoyancy. However, people who can swim will habitually "push" their legs when diving, which is not conducive to diving. Therefore, people who can't swim in this aspect have an advantage.

Of course, although swimming is not a necessary condition for diving, swimming will give beginners psychological bonus points. And the prerequisite for getting a diving license is to be able to swim 200 meters, snorkel (with mask, breathing tube, fins) 300 meters or float on the water for 10 minutes.

In addition, learning to dive must not be "afraid" of water. If you are naturally afraid of water, you may be doomed to miss this wonderful sport in your life.

What are the benefits of diving

Diving is different from many other sports in the world. Apart from normal consumption of your physical fitness, it can also make people gain endless fun and expand your vision. It's said that you can explore the underwater world for 10 minutes, which is far more than you can see when you explore the land for 10 hours (depending on where you dive, of course). The wonderful ocean world will surprise you. In addition, diving can also help you form a good character. Because diving is a sport that absolutely does not allow you to panic. You should keep quiet and calm at any time. When you encounter unexpected situations, you must think and act calmly. So frequent diving, in addition to people to broaden their horizons, keep the body, but also help you develop a calm character.

How old can I learn to dive

The coach I met in Egypt on the Mediterranean started diving at the age of 12. This can't help but make people sigh. It's so cool to be born by the sea. In fact, according to the regulations, people who want to participate in the PADI Open Water Diver course or the Junior Open Water Diver course must be at least 10 years old.

Do you still need a diving license

People come to this world as if to get all kinds of "certificates". For example, you need a license to drive on land; Flying in the sky requires a flight license; Diving to the bottom of the sea also requires a license, that is, a diving license.

Some friends may have experienced diving without diving license, but that can only be regarded as a preliminary experience. They must be led by a coach hand in hand, and the diving depth should not exceed 12 meters. This kind of experience only gives you a small hole in the underwater world, and there are great security risks. If you want to experience the truly wonderful underwater world, you must seriously learn diving related skills and finally get a diving license.

However, just like having a driver's license doesn't mean that you can drive a good car all your life, getting a diving license is only the first step in learning to dive. Only constant learning and experience can make your diving safer, more interesting and more exciting.

Where to test for diving license

To get a diving certificate is mainly to go to a diving school or center with diving teaching qualification. Taking PADI as an example, I go to the diving school authorized by PADI. There will be professional coaches and special teaching materials to teach me all aspects of diving. After passing a series of examinations, I can get the diving certificate issued by PADI. And in every suitable diving area, such as Thailand, Maldives, Egypt, can find such diving schools or centers.

What diving training organizations are there in the world

There are hundreds of diving organizations in the world. At present, the larger diving organizations in the world include the world diving Federation (CAMs), the International Association of Diving Coaches (NAUI), the Professional Diving Coaches Association (PADI), etc. the most common one is PADI.

Founded in 1966, PADI has 25000 coaches all over the world and issues more than 500000 diving licenses every year, which makes PADI the largest diving training institution in the world.

What are the grades of diving license

Taking PADI as an example, the common divers are as follows:

Open water diver (open water junior diver) is short for ow. Open water junior diver is the most basic diving course. Trainees can learn diving skills and diving safety knowledge when diving with diving partners. The course includes 5 indoor courses, 5 swimming pool practice courses and 4 marine practice courses.

Advanced open water diver (AOW) is short for advanced open water diver. This course provides students with different diving skills, such as deep diving, boat diving, underwater navigation and night diving. Five open water dives (Advanced Open Water Divers) or nine open water dives (advanced and enhanced open water divers) are required. Participants must be junior divers in open water or other equivalent qualifications.

For ordinary diving enthusiasts, AOW is enough. It takes six days to get AOW from a person who doesn't know how to dive. AOW is enough for you to carry out underwater leisure activities. Of course, if you want to engage in diving teaching, you need to continue to study courses, including emergency first action; Rescue Diver; Special courses and master scuba diver are the highest honors of leisure divers.
