Alexei Molchanov, a Russian free diver, set a new Guinness world record by diving 80 meters under the ice of Lake Baikal in Irkutsk, Russia on March 16, 2021 local time.
It is reported that the previous Guinness world record was set by Australian Ant Williams in Norway.
