In order to raise money, more than 100 British "Santa Claus" dive in the cold lake

On the 16th local time, the annual diving festival was held in Somerset, England. This year, the event attracted more than 100 divers who dressed up as Santa Claus, braved the cold and jumped into the lake to raise money for charity.

According to the Daily Mail website reported on the 16th, the annual British Festival diving event "Santa splash" was held in the water diving center at Worcester Wharf in Somerset County on the 16th local time. The event has maintained a world record of 161 divers who were successfully put into the water.

In the event, contestants can wear their best holiday clothes, the more the better, because the ultimate purpose of the event is to raise funds for the Royal Society of lifeboats (RNLI). This year, most of the participants wore red santa suits, elastic white beards and Christmas hats.

On the day of the event, the sea surface temperature was about 48 degrees Fahrenheit (about 9 degrees Celsius). At 20 meters below the sea floor, where divers gather, the temperature is lower, approaching 46 degrees Fahrenheit. At the same time, people in Weymouth, Dorset, started the "Santa pudding Santa Claus race".

This year's running competition is divided into men's team and women's team. Two runners were chased for five kilometers by more than 200 competitors. If the contestants don't get the pudding, each of them will get their own pudding when they cross the finish line.

It is reported that the event attracted runners from all over southern England. They also want to raise money for charities in such an interesting way. Many people also take advantage of this opportunity to go out with their dogs to breathe fresh winter air. Some even started running on the sand with their prams.
It is understood that the Royal Society of lifeboats (RNLI) is a well-known charity in the country, which is mainly committed to saving people in the UK, the Republic of Ireland and other sea areas. In the past few years, the event has successfully raised more than 10000 pounds, which has been used for life jacket promotion activities.
