Diving in the Subic Bay, Philippines. You'd better avoid the rainy season, where underwater visibility is low and unsuitable for beginners.

The bay of Subic is very quiet, and there are many resorts along the coast. But the beach here is not particularly white, the beach is also full of garbage, the environment is not particularly good.

Many crab boats have been docked at the seaside. This kind of boat is very common. Similar to the long tail boat, it is also the most commonly used vessel for local residents to go out to sea on weekdays.

The August of the Subic Bay is a rainy season with continuous rainfall throughout the day. There happened to be a typhoon crossing in August this year. Under such bad weather conditions, it is not suitable for diving activities. So there are few tourists in the seaside resorts. I stayed in the resort for a few days, waiting for the rain to clear up. Although the weather was not beautiful, but the rain finally stopped one morning, I immediately went to the dive shop, and the owner expressed his intention to dive. Although there were no other guests, the boss was pleased to agree, which made me feel very grateful.

The owner of the dive shop is an European and American. With my dive experience in many places, the dive shops of Europeans and Americans are generally more trustworthy. As long as they have promised, whether they have other guests or not, the dive journey will not change. Maybe it's a loss-making business, but it seems that the boss doesn't mind. After all, reputation is higher than everything else.

The owner of the dive shop sent three people to accompany me to go diving. Among them, a local diver, a boatman and a local person were responsible for assisting me in diving. The service is really very delicate. Both boarding and disembarking and disembarking diving equipment are assisted by specialists. I have to say that the diving service is really very intimate.

There are many submersible points in the Subic Bay. You can see that there are many sunken ships, as well as planes and tanks. After all, this is the U.S. military base. Diving here and watching the wreck can be a once-in-a-lifetime addiction.

I am the only customer of the empty ship. Does it feel like chartering a boat? Diving in the Subic Bay requires some diving experience, because there are relatively large ocean currents, and the wreck is relatively deep and not suitable for primary divers.

Due to typhoons, strong winds and heavy rain cause very low visibility. Therefore, for some novice divers, this environment is not really suitable, will cause greater psychological pressure. After all, if we can't see the potential guidance within three meters, it will have a great psychological impact.

So if you want to go diving in the Subic Bay, you'd better avoid the rainy season. From December to March of next year, there is less precipitation and it is very suitable for diving. The price of diving in the Subic Bay is slightly more expensive than that in other places. If you don't have your own equipment, it's 1900 pesos per dive. If you carry your own diving gear, it's 1500 pesos per dive. When you dive six times, the dive shop will give you one dive. I believe I will be here again in the near future. Make up for the regret of not diving enough this time.
